We left Roncesvalles at 6:30am and we’re surprised how many of the 200 + pilgrims were up and getting ready at 5:30am. It reminded me of being back at work. Only 790 k to go!
Tom wore a headlamp to guide us until the sun came up. This walk was 21 k and took us through 2 small towns before we hit the mountain. Many of the houses looked like this one – all had beautiful flowers in the window boxes.
While much of the walk was shadded we did get achance to rock our very cool floppy hats.
Speaking of cool, check out the latest video. Tom is still learning how to use the GoPro 🙂
How are you feeling? Is it very warm? Do you walk yourselves or with a group?
Notice how in the EU you can move from one country to another without a passport!
We’re feeling good so far and have a rest day planned in Pamplona tomottow. We walk as early as we can to avoid the heat and see many of the same people along the way or later for dinner/drinks. Yes, we noticed how easy it is to travel the different countries.
Looks like you both are doing good!
????
Good job with the GoPro Tom!
Keep the videos coming as we follow along!
Happy Hiking!

Thanks for sharing…the backpack contents, in particular, were of interest. What do you bring, what do you leave…now I know! I’m glad you brought all of the electronics so we can all share in the adventure. Have a great time, I wish you happy and health! Please don’t waste precious data on a response – but do share all the details via your blog. Thanks!
Thanks Jennifer!
Nice! So you’re not wearing fanny packs? Looks beautiful…how’re your legs holding up?
We’re holding up okay. This is harder on the feet than legs. Glad we have a rest day planned for tomorrow. We ‘really making good progress but does it really count if we’really not on Strava?
I guess you’ll just have to do it again!
I guess we will ?
